Born in 1978, Storja is a digest serving the function of a journal of Maltese History and provides a section for readers to focus their attention on historical events, personalities, publications and problems. Viewing history as essentially the attempt to understand and interpret man in time, Storja aims to encourage history writing that is interdisciplinary and problem-oriented. Therefore, Storja aims to promote the gradual evolution of  a ‘Maltese’ school of historiography, according to which appreciation and indeed the value of history will depend on the methodical attempt to reconstruct and to judge past human experiences, bringing unknown truths or aspects of truth to life by extracting meaning from documents, evoking concern, dialogue and commitment.

The MUHS launched the 2023 edition of Storja on the 2nd of December, 2023. More information here.
